This Boy Is An Alligator

You might think I’m just
a fourteen-year-old boy
with dirty-blonde hair
and hazel eyes
But I know I am more
way more than that
not a lion or zebra
not a dolphin or whale
I… Am an alligator
a hard skinned alligator
that no one can stop
from capturing that deer
that is only mine for the taking
Running quickly and stealthily to catch
the clueless deer on land
and swimming swiftly
to catch my prey in water
Startling my prey that
walks near to my water
As I trap the deer in my jaws
and drag him into my water world
separating him from all on land
The dirty-blonde-haired, hazel-eyes boy
is an alligator
a patient, hard skinned, powerful alligator
that seizes all I wish to have.
